The Indian Film industry has made a huge development ever since the Motion pictures first arrived in India in the year of 1896 when the Lumiere brothers revealed six silent short films in Bombay. Today, in these modern times of instant digital communication encouraging social-economic globalization, movies have turned out to be one of the most veritable tools by which many nations and cultures reveal their values and identities.
And Bollywood movies are helping India to achieve this with their movies continuing to receive increase global appeal.
Below, is a list of 7 of the Best Indian Films in 2021 in no particular order.
1. The Big Bull
This movie is based on a real story. ‘The Big Bull’ plot follows the life and times of Hemant Shah – a small-time stockbroker, who manipulated the loopholes in the country’s obsolete banking system to create a massive bull run on the stock exchange. But at a time when the Indian economy was taking its big leap towards liberalization, it was only a matter of time before Hemant Shah’s dream run, ended in a nightmare.
2. Mumbai Saga.
Like the movie listed before, this story is based on real-life accounts of the rise of a commoner, Amartya Rao, to gangster notoriety in Bombay, India (now Mumbai) whose reign was marked by bloody gang turf wars, lawlessness, and bloodbaths. Amartya’s transformation into a monster comes as a result of his younger brother, Adjun almost being killed by some thugs and his quest for payback becomes one of the most violent transformations of an ordinary man ever.
3. Saina
My number three choice is another biopic, which although isn’t quite the box office success the filmmakers had hoped it would be still makes for a good watch. This movie follows the incredible real-life story of a former world #1 Indian ace Shuttler whose career experienced the highs and lows. The film stars Parineeti Chopra in the titular role of Saina Nehwal and runs for 135 mins.

Following the practice of a girl being kidnapped by the man who wishes to marry her; Roohi is kidnapped and hidden in an abandoned woodwork shop. Bhwara who commissions her kidnapping finds out while keeping her that she is possessed by a demonic spirit. This 124 minutes movie stars Richa Chadda and Manav Kaul is a Hindi language political drama of the ups and downs of the life of a powerful Dalit leader who goes on to become the first woman chief minister in India’s most populous and politically charged state of Uttar Pradesh. Entertaining and thought-provoking, the film gets a fair review for its look at the goings-on in the crime-infested corridors of power.
6. Flight
The movie takes a critical look at the systematic abuse of money and power in the aviation manufacturing industry. Flight is about an elaborate scam behind cheap, low-quality aviation parts that a certain company is providing to the industry insiders and also, how greed gets the better of human emotions.
